Her XI was created because of one girl.
My daughter, Elsie, is 10 years old and absolutely loves football. Like thousands of girls across the UK, she lives for training sessions, matchdays, tournaments, and everything that comes with being part of a team.
As she got older, I started noticing something that many parents of girls in football will recognise.
Despite the incredible growth of the girls' game, there still seemed to be very few products genuinely designed with female players in mind. It was often smaller versions of boys' products, with little thought given to comfort, fit, confidence, or performance. When we did find products marketed specifically towards girls, they often came with a premium price tag that we and many other families simply couldn't justify.
At an age where confidence matters more than ever, young female footballers deserve clothing that help them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to perform.
That's why Her XI was born.
We're building a football brand dedicated to female players, starting with the next generation of girls aged 8-16. Every product is being designed with input from real female footballers, tested by real players, and developed with one goal in mind:
To create football clothing that fits better, performs better, and gives girls the confidence to be themselves on and off the pitch.
From grip socks and compression wear to training essentials and lifestyle clothing, every product starts with the same questions:
"How can this be designed better for female footballers?"
We're developing products around the needs of girls who play football, not simply adapting products originally designed for boys.
From grip socks with a more considered fit and support system, to compression wear designed around female athletes, every detail is being developed with comfort, confidence and performance at mind. We're building products that start with female athletes, not add them as an afterthought.
Her XI isn't just about clothing.
It's about supporting the growth of the women's game, celebrating female athletes, and building community where young players feel seen, valued, and represented.
What started as an idea inspired by one football-mad 10 year old girl is becoming something much bigger.
And we're only just getting started.
